Residencial Service

This structure has been set up as a service of support to handicapped people and their families, in a suppletory function and not a substitute one .It aims at a larger affective autonomy, both personal and social, and it attempts as well to contribute to the balance of the familiar system , quite often rather weakened physically and psychologically. This structure allows for three different answers:

  • A Residence of a Supporting Nature, providing assistance to people with a greater degree of dependence.

  • A Residence of a Transitional Nature, aiming at a development unto autonomy.

  • Supervised and Autonomous Residences, outside the Institution, in order to achieve the integration of the individuals who may attain a higher level of autonomy and independent life.

More recently, the Institution has thought of the possibility of helping the parents of the beneficiaries, when, by motive of their age or illness, they will need the services of Day Centre, Home Support and Leisure.
