The Elo Social – Associação para a Integração e Apoio ao Deficiente Jovem e Adulto, is a Private Institution of Social Solidarity, classified as a Legal Entity of Public Interest, in the terms of articles 7º and 8º of Decree-law nº119/83 of February the 25th .Its vocation is the support to disabled people, as regards training, employment, occupational support and residential support, setting as its great objective the advancement of their social and professional insertion.

It has been established on October the 24th,1983, with the help of the State and of many and diverse entities of society . This way, it has been possible to build a whole set of structures where support is given  to 105 persons, mildly, moderately , severely and deeply handicapped .We have at their disposal  Centres of Occupational Activities (CAO), a Centre of Sheltered Employment  and Residences.

The number of beneficiaries may increase temporarily, as a consequence of the participation in national and European projects, aimed at the professional orientation-training-insertion of mildly handicapped  and/or underprivileged people.

As a training entity, with credentials from IQF, Elo Social develops several training actions.

More recently, in accordance to Social Sponsorship Status, the activities of this Institution have been acknowledged of Superior Social Interest. (Desp. Conjunto nº 616/2003, D.R. nº 119 de 23/ 05/ 03).
